We now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Customs Coordinator based in Sale working for a worldwide freight forwarding company. With over 70 offices, 200 agents covering 5 continents we offer local expertise with global experience catering to each customer's specific transportation and logistics needs.
This is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office and 2 days home.
Your role of Senior Customs Coordinator to handle import customs clearances. In this position you will hold ultimate responsibility for the following duties / tasks:
-Provide an outstanding level of customer service to both internal & external clients
-Handling Sea / Air and Road freight customs clearances.
-Ensure the accurate and timely processing of import customs declarations
-Ensure correct payment of duty & VAT
-Manage the release of consignments at port
-All aspects of CDS & Customs Warehousing
-Manage post clearance action
Applying candidates will possess:
-Experience from working for a freight forwarder in a Customs/ imports role
-A broad understanding of the overall customs process
-Knowledge of Import Clearance systems, ideally CDS but any imports clearance skills are welcome Chief/ASM/CNS/Destin8/Boxtop
-Extensive knowledge of the customs tariff
-Excellent communication skills
-Strong attention to detail
-Exceptional IT skills
-Ability to work as part of a team or as an individual
-Strong organisational & time management skills
Benefits
Salary £30,000 to £33,000 Flexibility for the right candidate

23 days holiday rising with length of service
