Our client is a well-established Freight Forwarding and Logistics specialist with offices throughout the UK. We are now looking for an Air Freight Operations Clerk to join the team at their Freight Forwarding office in Bradford.

The successful air freight candidate would be working on airfreight exports and airfreight import experience would also be advantageous.

Your role will involve:

Speaking to customers/agents on a daily basis.
Receiving quotation enquiries for Air import and export.
Answering Overseas agent e-mails.
Dealing directly with the Gateway/Airlines to obtain rates
Following up of customer quotations for feedback.
Booking of airfreight consignments with the Gateway export
Invoicing sales and purchases
Any other duties commensurate with the position
Growing the airfreight business, contacting potential customers, engaging with customers on a regular basis

In order to apply you will have:

Experience in Air freight forwarding
Must be able to complete / understand intricacies of Airfreight. MAWBs, HAWBs, etc.
Experience of DG by Air preferred, but not essential as training courses can be booked.
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Package Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Good team player
Ability to work to strict deadlines
Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
Good organisational skills
Flexible and adaptable

Salary and Benefits

Salary to be discussed at interview
Starting with 22 days holiday, plus all bank holidays.
Hours:0900-17:30 with an hour for lunch
