Import/Export Road Freight Forwarder

We now have an exciting opportunity for an Imports/ Exports Road Freight Coordinator and Customs Entries Coordinator based near Manchester Airport working for a worldwide freight forwarding company. With over 70 offices, 200 agents covering 5 continents we offer local expertise with global experience catering to each customer's specific transportation and logistics needs.

We are now recruiting for an Imports / exports Road and Customs Freight Coordinator to handle my clients road freight and European customs clearances needs:

In this position you will hold ultimate responsibility for the following duties / tasks:

-Provide an outstanding level of customer service to both internal & external clients
-Handling Road freight exports/ imports and customs clearances.
-Ensure the accurate and timely processing of import customs declarations
-Ensure correct payment of duty & VAT
-All aspects of Road freight clearances using ASM
-Manage post clearance action

Applying candidates will possess:

-Experience from working for a freight forwarder in an imports / Exports for European road freight movements
-A broad understanding of the overall customs process
-Knowledge of Import Clearance systems, ideally ASM but any imports clearance skills are welcome Chief/ASM/CNS/Destin8/BoxTop
-Excellent communication skills
-Strong attention to detail
-Good IT skills
-Ability to work as part of a team or as an individual
-Strong organisational & time management skills

Salary £26,000 to £32,000
23 days holiday rising with length of service
