Operations Delivery Manager

We are now recruiting an Operations Delivery Manager for our client based in the heart of London, near Kings Cross Station. This is an exciting and challenging role for someone who has experience in air freight and warehouse operations, ideally with a background in eCommerce. This role will be responsible for managing relationship with and performance of key partners located in UK and Europe

This role will be working with the Delivery solutions team, reporting in to the Head of Delivery Solutions so we are looking for someone who is primarily Ops focused. We would like someone with a background in warehousing, operations management, ideally some eCommerce experience also. They will be working closely to oversee operations in our warehouses in Heathrow as well as our new sites in Berlin and Amsterdam. Day to day work will include capacity planning and forecasting. We expect this employee to be based at the warehouse 1/2 days per week but will be primarily based in the office (or at home).

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Day to day operations management working with outsourced partners
Capacity planning & forecast management
Understand all SLAs and KPIs for each part of our operation carrying out monthly business reviews with partners
Measure weekly and monthly performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
Report and escalate to management as needed
Work with other delivery solutions team members to ensure that we are delivering a seamless service to all our customers
Support all new service implementations working with stakeholders from different internal teams Work closely with Customer Care and sales team to manage internal relations alongside improve customer experiences
Support & improve SLA and KPI monitoring and management
Understand operational costs and strive to reduce these costs while maintaining performance levels

Key Skills & Experience

Previous experience in UK, Europe Carrier operations management and warehousing
Awareness of international carrier operations, you will have had international delivery solution experience
Knowledge of air freight industry considered a plus
Background in eCommerce preferred but not essential
Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office with expert level in Excel
Commercially aware/astute
Innovative and customer focused
Ability to adapt to rapid change
Ability to identify and implement process improvements
Team Player
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Comfortable working on own initiative
