Internal BDM - Shipping

We are now recruiting for a Business Development Executive to work in the inside sales team. This is an internal Business Development Executive role dealing with the existing shipping customer base. The successful candidate will be expected to quote and follow up with the customer on LCL export rates. Ring around customers using our quoting system on the back of cargo chaser emails to fill groupage boxes. Most importantly build relationships with customers at desk level to secure business

We are looking for applying candidates to have some exposure to the shipping industry with maybe a couple of years experience in freight and shipping movements. You will have had experience in liaising with customers from within the shipping /logistics industry This location is only a small office and my client feels someone with this level of skills will be perfect for their office and working dynamic

Our client is a privately-owned company offering shipping services of the highest quality to freight forwarders, exporters and importers both in the United Kingdom and overseas.
Well established, the company can now boast over 25 years of trading experience and have built a reputation for high quality and competitively rated container groupage services.

My client is Based in Bury so this would suit a locally based candidate or someone willing to travel to the area with Shipping experience

Salary: 22-24k
Holidays: 25 days
Bonus: n/a - we get a Christmas bonus depending of yearly figures
Pension - company pension scheme
