Sales Manager - IT/Technology

We now have an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-growing IT company, based in West London. Our client is now looking for a full time Sales Manager with a track record of working in the IT/Technology industry. Mainly selling IT based services to the courier, e-commerce and freight forwarding sector

Overview of Role

To develop, manage and grow new and existing business in support of the companys business and growth plans

Drive sales pipeline development and win ratios to secure business.

Develop growth in key business segments.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing Revenue targets
Maintain and grow existing business, product mix, selling price by keeping current with supply & demand, changing trends & competitors.
Key account management of existing business ensuring growth and development.
Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
Cold call as appropriate within market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organisation.
Research and build relationships with new clients.
Plan approaches and pitches.
Work with all the teams to develop proposals that speaks to the clients needs, concerns, and objectives.
Participate in pricing the solution/service.
Handle objections by clarifying, emphasising agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs and develop revenue streams.
Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs
Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services and products
Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
Assist in marketing, promoting and actively selling software applications within the companys markets worldwide.
Key Skills

Be a business development professional with a track record of working in the IT/Technology industry.
Knowledge and experience of courier, e-commerce and freight businesses would be desirable
Meeting Sales objectives achievement and success driven
Negotiation skills
Sales planning & reporting
Managing processes
Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships
Have strong oral and written communication skills and a track record of winning business
Experience of writing successful significant sized bids or tenders is desirable.
Have excellent project planning skills and be competent in financial modeling to support bid activity.
Have the ability to prioritise, multi-task and work to targets and deadlines, both independently and as part of a team.
Extensive Experience and Proven Track Record in a Similar Field Required.

Salary is circa £35,000 per annum with a commission structure of 10% of new business GP for the first 12 months of trading and 2.5% thereafter.
