Sales Executive - Freight Forwarding

Our client is a British privately owned forward-thinking freight forwarder with a family ethos. Founded over 20 years ago, they have experienced considerable growth over the last few years particularly and are looking to further this growth by way of appointment of a sales person who can help to expand their customer base, offering clients import and export services via Air ,Sea and Road Freight.

They offer a portfolio of services that appeals to clients across a broad range of industries. With no one size fits all approach to our services, we strive to offer the most appropriate freight solution to every client, allowing them to benefit from a service that is tailored to their specific needs

With an established freight office in MANCHESTER you cover the North West incorporating Stoke, Cheshire, Manchester, Liverpool and surrounding territories, however our client has the capabilites to clear and handle consignments anywhere across the UK, so you have the freedom to sell our clients extensive services across the whole of the UK.
Selling and promoting a multi modal freight forwarding service to the Far East, Asia, India and Americas market.

You will manage the full freight sales cycle, from assessing customer requirements, to managing the relationship, all customer visits and preparing and presenting to a customer in order to make a sale.

You will maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails, ensuring that service to existing customer base in maintained as you will handle both new business and the ongoing account management and development of your accounts.

You will be responsible for reaching the targets and goals set for your area, which will be £10,000 a month.

To apply for the role you :

- Must have knowledge of all modes of international transportation, air, ocean, road, import and export, as well as cross trade movements.
- Ideally experienced selling specialist cargo (Oil and Gas etc) as well as commercial
- Minimum 3 years sales experience with proven track record that can be demonstrated at interview.
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
- Based in Manchester but with national coverage.
- Bonus scheme based on company performance.
- Able to source sales leads, cold and warm calling.

Benefits:
£35k base + uncapped commission, £10k Per month target.
22 days holiday, rising to 25 for long service.
