Export Documentation/Data Entry Clerk

Our client is an independent freight and logistics company who specialise in Sea and Air Freight Shipping, European Logistics and Bulk Haulage. Well established they provide superior quality export and transportation services across the UK, Ireland and the rest of the world. Building and developing a reputation for professional, efficient and friendly services.

We now have an Export documentation / data input role within my clients vibrant sometimes fast pace team.

The position for export documentation and general day to day data input is an extremely exiting position suited for a person who has key essential attention to detail and someone who would enjoy data inputting in various varieties and dealing with paperwork relating to exporting cargo around the world.
The day to day job would be split between export documentation / data inputting.

Salary : between £13000-19000 per annum - Final salary subject to age / experience
Hours of work: 0830-1700hrs

Key expectations and measures within the role would be
Experience of working in a freight/shipping/manufacturing/or related industry
Having excellent customer service skills
Having excellent attention to detail when needing to comply with various shipping requirements for different clients
Be able to use own initiative to solve day to day challenges
Being able to think on your feet and work to deadlines
Knowledge of word and excel
Locally based to the Dudley area
Raising bill of lading instructions from shippers invoice or shipping instructions and sending to relevant supplier
Checking bill of lading is OK prior to sending to client for approval
Amendments to documents where required
Entering VGM via CNS or Destin8 on line portals
Approval of bills of lading and arranging post to customers
Raising UK customs entry via online portal
Completing certificates of origin / ATR / EUR1
Working to customs and bill of lading deadlines
Raising export paperwork for customers or letters of credit where/when needed.

Data input role requirements
Input quotation information into company software and sending to the client via email
Input booking information info company software (vessel details and line ref) and send to the client via email
Raising sales invoices from company software and sending to clients via email

Benefits:
Salary: between £13000-19000 per annum - Final salary subject to age / experience
Minimum experience: Not necessary but would be beneficial (We would consider someone just from college with a customer service / administration qualification)
Hours of work: 0830-1700hrs
