We are now recruiting for a full time Accountant for our client based in the heart of London
With modern and welcoming offices with all the facilities to promote productivity and collaboration. You will join an exciting workplace in Central London in the fast-growing e-commerce industry.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Support the CFO & finance team for the clients UK legal entity including statutory compliance, financial and management accounting, and outsourced book-keeping partner
Support the delivery of Management and financial reporting, contribution to Board Reporting, insight and analysis
Ensure financial governance and financial controls are maintained for the legal entity, including production/review of bank, debtor, creditor and other reconciliations; tax calculations; VAT returns; compliance with HMRC requirements; designing new processes and controls; contribute/undertake policy drafting and new accounting process; and operations development
Supporting cash management through effective cashflow forecasting, credit control, debtor chasing and supplier payments;
Supporting profitability analysis by customer, lane, product and others and identifying areas to improve profitability
Provide revenue protection activities ensuring that margins are protected and profits are maximised
Support the CFO with the management of foreign currency and other risks
Support development of financial and operating systems, including process improvement initiatives, especially in terms of profitability analysis
Support the development of finance function improvements and initiatives
Support the management of the outsourced accounting function
Liaise with the sales and pricing teams.
Support and contribute to annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
Provide decision support to Sales including pricing support and modelling
Review commercial contracts and ensure due diligence in financial operations, including reviewing rates and tenders

In order to apply for this role, you will be a recently qualified or nearing fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent)

12+ months accounting experience in the F&A team of an SME or audit firm
Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business or equivalent
Good analytical skills and commercial acumen Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables and Look-ups), Word and PowerPoint
Flexible, adaptable and quick learner
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work in a busy and fast-moving environment
Ability to deal with large amounts of data
Logistics/freight forwarding experience desirable

Benefits:£50,000-55,000 basic salary
