Customer Service/Account Management Agent

Our client is a major international Transport & Logistics provider, and they now have a challenging opportunity for an experienced, highly motivated and commercially minded individual to join the Freight Forwarding customer service Department at their office in Bristol. The successful applicant must have experience within the freight forwarding industry, be flexible and pro-active with excellent communications and IT skills.
This role has excellent opportunities for growth and development into a more senior role with a genuine career path.

Summary of job tasks and responsibilities:

Deal with customer enquiries
Prepare Quotations and obtain rates
Update Quote Log
Receive and review orders and price the job
Accept orders, book the job into internal database and confirm the job
Liaison with consignee and overseas network (imports)
Monitor and confirm arrival (imports)
Request clearance and delivery instructions (imports)
Arrange collection (exports)
Arrange International Transport and notify client of shipping details (exports)
Ensure accurate Cost and Revenue estimates are made against jobs
Handover to Operations and other departments
Comply with Company policies and procedures.
Customer service and sales functions (e.g. providing status updates)
Maintain customer tracker / KPI reports
Deep-selling and development of customers
Generate sales leads and appointments
Liaise with internal parties and external suppliers to monitor job progress

To be considered for this position you MUST HAVE previous freight forwarding experience gained in sea freight or air freight ideally experience of imports and exports although we will consider any freight experience as training will be given. Please only apply if you have previous freight forwarding experience.
