Freight Imports/Transport Operator

Our client is now looking to expand the team and is looking for a Freight Imports/Transport Operator to join the very busy sea freight Imports operations team at their busy Office in Avonmouth, Bristol. Based in a Sea Freight imports department you will get involved with global sea freight movements and in particular the onward land side imports UK freight movements.
The department handles major accounts and adhoc freight movements and handles some 200 deliveries a week.

You will act as the facilitator between the client and the operations team arranging the UK import movements as well as getting involved in standard imports, bookings, customer service, customs entries and clearances.

There is a lot of data management and spreadsheet work so you will need good attention to detail, and good experience with good system experience
This is a high intensity role with lots of elements so will appeal to a well organised person who is imports operationally minded with good freight forwarding and UK movements experience

£23,000 To £25,000
Healthcare After Qualifying Period
