Customer Service Apprentice

Our client is a well-established freight forwarder who are now looking for Customer Service Executive Apprentice based at their offices in MIOC building, near Manchester Airport

Your role will involve:

Handle customer calls and deal with customer queries
Track & Trace of inbound shipments
Preparing quotations
Informing customer of transit times
Third party collections
Freedom shipments
SRN collections
UK and POD updates

In order to apply you will have:

An understanding of Customer Services
Proficiency in Excel and Word required
An understanding of International Courier Services
An understanding of worldwide geographical areas

Organisation And commercial awareness
Teamwork player
Flexibility and adaptability

You will complete an NVQ during the first year.

We offer the following salary structure:
Salary during probation: £8,000 (or national minimum wage depending on age whichever is higher)
Salary after passing probation: £10,000 (or national minimum wage depending on age whichever is higher)
Salary after successfully completing 12 months service during which time they must successfully complete NVQ/s: £18,000
After another 6 months successful service increase to £20,000 in line with salary structure we have in place for Customer Service Executives (subject to successful performance of all expected duties of a Customer Service Executive)
