Sea Freight Customer Service Clerk

Our client a leading Supply Chain & Logistics company is looking to appoint a Sea Freight Customer Service Clerk for their Ipswich site.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global organisation who has been established for over 50 years and has grown organically year on year, they are looking to appoint a Sea Freight Customer Service Clerk to join their Sea Freight division reporting directly into the Customer Service Team Lead.

The position is to work within the Forwarding Import Sea department, you will be handling and receipting original customer documentation, you will be completing Home Use, CFSP and Bonded customer entries, you will be liaising with HMCE and local port authorities to facilitate the release of cargo, this role will see you working with internal and external stakeholders and providing excellent customer service.

Essential Skills;
Experience using systems such as Datafreight, Destin8, CHIEF, CNS Compass
Knowledge of HMRC
Knowledge of Port Health & Customs Tariff
Knowledge of Vessel schedules

The role of Sea Freight Customer Service Clerk offers working hours of 09:00am to 5:30pm.

To be a successful applicant for this role you must have a background working in a similar role and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the above-mentioned skills.
